Wow, it's been an amazing year ... 07 has been good to us. But: My Blog Died! I got buried in work! I know, I know ... it happens to us all (it doesn't help with Nintendo releasing games like Mario Galaxy!)

BUT! I decided (after seeing an awesome response and hit rate) that "Teft's Blog" needed the love rekindled. Mimi and I are getting back into mode of doing songs in an hour and want to share them with you guys. Some may be released under "Mimi & Teft", and some just on this blog. But we promise to share.

So, in other news Mimi & Teft will be releasing our first video soooooooonnn ...... sooooooonnnnnnnnn.

Sounds fair ... 28 pages of photoshop'ed images!!! This passed out guy has been "immortalized"! The funniest page for me is #4. The guy is put into SO MANY situations, it's incredible! From the Pope, to riding with Bush, to hanging with the Beatles ... it's great!

Some Personal Favorites

I dialed in the address to the Blue Bottle Coffee Kiosk into my navigation system and off we went (full of fish and chips). Sure enough, the coffee kiosk was hidden in a one way alley in San Fransisco. AND, there was a line! A line for a sweet fresh cup of joe. And it kept growing ... not a two or three person line, but a strong 10 person average of a line!

Mimi ordered the cappuccino and I ordered the latte. Now, my coffee experience started with Starbucks, then moved to a love for Peet's Coffee over the years. The Blue Bottle Coffee company did not disappoint my veteran taste buds!! The coffee was pure, tasty, and soooo smooth. I'm half tempted drive over right now (I'm in Sacramento). Luckily, Blue Bottle Coffee offers online orders of half pound bags of beans.

In addition to our espresso drinks, we also walked away with a pound of "Giant Steps" blend. It's been very good brewed. Again, very pure and smooth. I highly recommend the Blue Bottle Coffee if your in the area.

After playing with it for awhile I feel like it's luster and beauty is seducing me into spending money on an iPhone (and 2 year contract with Cingular/At&t). You see, it's not just another Palm Treo, or some hot shot “Black Jack” phone, it's a seduction machine with style and finesse.

What you immediately notice is how striking the screen is, it's colors POP. All the animations are tasteful and don't get in the way. The multi finger input screen is brilliant, but still requires getting use to. It's a bit picky. The messaging keyboard is hard to input keys with accuracy, but one of the nice features while “typing” is that it looks at what you are trying to spell and makes intelligent choices (most of the time). My Treo 650 does the same thing, but not to the extent of the iPhone.

YouTube glory! I'm not a big YouTube user, but man does the iPhone make you watch videos. Lots of 'em. Lot's of time is just wasted viewing YouTube videos on your phone iPhone. I recommend watching this one, and this one, and this one.

Web browsing is a dream ...... multiple pages open, full colors, zoom in, zoom out, ahhhhhhh ... Feels good. WHAT?! No Flash?! No Downloads?! No Attachments when sending web mail?! What do I do with all those 2mp pics I snapped of my dog licking my other dog?! I thought this was a full featured browser?! I guess you don't get it all with release 1.0.

OR! You wait for it to get hacked! It's on the horizon, the iPhone is being hacked and pillaged as I blog. Two major things we need for the iPhone to be fully hacked is:

• Shell access to the unix layer (it IS OSX under the hood!)
• File system access, so you can load third party apps (how about a Logic Pro port to the iPhone???)

So am I going to drop the initial $600 for an iPhone? It's DAMN tempting!
